Jeannette Cooper from Chicago lost custody of her daughter because she doesn’t acknowledge that her daughter is transgender. The daughter is now in custody of Cooper’s ex-husband, and Cooper is prohibited from seeing or talking to her. Cooper says the state should never take away someone’s child without evidence of abuse or neglect.
