As COVID-19 infections skyrocket in China, a large number of famous performers have been reported dead. Some of them were known to have participated in the Chinese communist party’s, or CCP’s propaganda efforts.
The list includes the director of the opera troupe at the state-owned China Opera and Dance Theater; an actor who took the stage as a former top CCP official; and another actor who starred in multiple well known Chinese movies that praised what Beijing calls the greatness of the Party.
