Musicians Pay Tribute to Australian Conductor Richard Gill Outside His Sydney Home

Dozens of musicians gathered outside the Sydney home of Australian conductor Richard Gill and played his favorite song, the “Dam Busters March,” on Saturday, Oct. 27.

The famed conductor and music teacher died from cancer on Sunday, Oct. 28.

The Sydney Morning Herald reported that Gill’s longtime friend and associate principal trumpeter in the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Paul Goodchild, organised the tribute.
