Police have found the mysterious woman who was captured on camera days earlier ringing a doorbell multiple times at 3 a.m. in a neighborhood in Montgomery, Texas.

The 32-year-old woman was found safe, the Montgomery County Sheriff Department (MCSD) told reporters on Aug. 29.

“She is safe and is being consoled by her family at this time,” Lt. Scott Spencer of MCSD told reporters. Spencer added that her name will not be released because she is “a family violence victim.”

He also said she is not linked to any missing persons cases.

On Aug. 24, around 3:20 a.m., local resident of the Sunrise Ranch area Jennie Drude woke up to multiple rings at the door. Drude later submitted to police the footage that her surveillance camera had captured at the time of the incident. She also posted the video to Facebook.

The video showed the female not wearing any trousers or shoes with what appeared to be broken restraints strapped to her wrists.

Police told reporters that the female’s boyfriend who she had been living with, had shot himself in the head, at a street adjacent to where the woman had been caught on film.

Earlier on Aug. 29 at 11 a.m., police were called to the house they would later find him in—the man had been making threats of suicide, but when they arrived later, he was already dead.

“The male was identified as a 49-year-old white male. The preliminary cause of death is believed to be a single gunshot wound,” Spencer told reporters.

White Van

One neighbor said that the white van parked in the driveway of the man’s house looked the same as one that had been seen going around the neighbourhood during the early hours of Aug. 24 when the woman had been roaming the homes, frantically ringing doorbells.

“It’s all very suspicious,” John Bradley, the neighbor, told Daily Mail. “First we had this woman going around at 3:30 in the morning and now this. I’ve never seen anything like this in all the time I have lived here.”

Police said they will continue to investigate the situation and had planned to meet with the female.
