New York City held the nation’s largest veterans day parade. The day started with a solemn wreath-laying ceremony. Every military branch was proudly represented.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer told NTD the country should do more for veterans.

“Make sure they get the best possible healthcare,” he said. “Remembering, honoring, hiring.”

New York Attorney General Letitia James also wants to include former service members in the workforce. “Hire veterans. They’re disciplined, loyal, and true patriots.”

Soon after the ceremony, the parade started. Active service members sang march songs and drove along in their military vehicles.

This year’s Veterans Day parade was the first one since the pandemic and included around 200 marching units.
