NATO: China Upping Control of Western Infrastructure

NATO spoke out after a Chinese company bought up stake in Europe’s third largest shipping port—the port of Hamburg, located in Germany.

That same company already holds stake in Europe’s two largest ports.

Germany is a member of NATO—short for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. It’s a military alliance between 30-nations and was founded after the WWII to counter the Soviet Union. Member states include major powers in the West: like the US, UK, and France.
