Generally, sports fans don’t tune in to the NBA until Christmas Day, when the league schedules a bunch of games, knowing they’ll have little TV competition, but the season starts back in October.
Another thing the NBA did was entice the players with something like $500,000 per player on the winning team. Even though the average player makes like $10 million a season, half a million is still half a million.
