The Houston Cougars are still the number one team in the country, according to the latest AP poll on Feb. 27. At 27-2, the Cougars have the best record overall, having lost just once since mid-December.
Meanwhile, the rest of the top five remained the same as last week, as Houston was followed by Alabama, Kansas, UCLA, and Purdue—which boasts leading player of the year candidate Zach Edey. They stayed at five.
Meanwhile, Marquette, which has won nine of their last 10 to lead the Big East, jumped four spots to number six. They were followed by Baylor, Arizona, Texas, and Gonzaga to round out the top 10.
