Who needs roses when you have 7000 post-it-notes for Valentine’s Day!

Now who says valentines day are all about chocolates, roses or expensive gifts? A creative and romantic husband swept his wife off her feet by decorating his entire bedroom with 7,000 post-its notes listing the things he loved about her.

This valentines day, elementary school teacher Jason Brinley transformed his entire bedroom into a world of pink and red with 7,000 post-its for his wife Jennifer, each containing a handwritten note about something that he loved about her.

Jennifer who sensed a surprise when she got home had not expected something like this.

“I absolutely couldn’t believe it! It was crazy. I knew he was doing something that was taking a lot of prep work, but I had no idea it was that, she told The Huffington Post.

The best thing I could think of was that he was making me a board game. This goes so much further than that!

The writing, designing and arrangement of these notes, resembling the old-school Mario video games, took him months to complete. These notes are still on the wall and Jennifer plans to turn them into a book.

These handwritten descriptions such as “I love the way you say cutesy things that make me laugh” and “I love how you force me to do the things that I need to do but don’t want to do, like take my vitamins” are among the memories both shared.

Some of them are hilarious, though. “I love to kiss you even after you drank black coffee and taste all coffee-ish,” wrote Jason.

So what gift did Jennifer get for Jason, you might ask?

“This is going to make me sound horrible! All I got him was Japanese soup spoons. He loves to eat cereal with them,” she said.

Here are their few selected notes!

“I love that you sing when you cook and no one else is around.”

“I love that you put animals before people.”

“I love that you know me so well that we can’t play poker together because you know when I am bluffing.”

“I love sitting at your office with you when you work late so that you don’t become scared by things that go bump in the night.”
