Germaine Yeap is an actress. Well, sort of an actress. Ok, she’s not an actress at all. She’s a kickboxer, a championship kickboxer who likes to have a little fun now and then. In fact, she had been training for six years before this video was recorded and had already earned her championship in Muay Thai, a form of hard martial art practiced in large parts of the world, including Thailand and other Southeast Asian countries. When a new guy started working as a coach at the gym she works out at, she saw the obvious and irresistible opportunity for a prank.

In her simple workout attire consisting including “innocent pink” shorts, she first pretends to struggle to hit the punching bags with her gloves. She meanders through the gym making it obvious to anyone that she has no idea what she’s doing. That’s when the fun begins!

After awhile, she approaches the “new guy” and asks him to show her how to spar. The rookie employee is reluctant at first because he doesn’t want to hurt the well-intentioned girl. But with a little encouragement from Germain, she eventually convinces him to get into the ring. Germaine purposely asks for a few minutes to warm-up, just to put a little icing on the façade by pretending for just a little bit longer that she has no idea what she’s doing.

The stage is set! Round 1 is a bust. Clearly this “little girl” has no skill (grin), and she allows the coach to school her in some of the basics. Then, she tells the instructor something along the lines of, “I think I get this now!” The punches, maneuvering, kicks, and “girl power,” starts to fly and, well, let’s just say it’s not pretty.

Did I mention that in addition to being a great prankster, Germain is a Muay Thai champion who has even represented Malaysia on an international level?

Boys, girls, men, and women, take note. This is how you fight Muay Thai! (And pull an awesome prank).
