NTD’s Kevin Hogan speaks with Clark Bossert, who is a Congressional candidate from Nevada at Turning Point USA’s “America Fest 2021.” He says the greatest challenge facing Americans, even more than the troubles in the economy, is the erosion of civil liberties and “God-given rights.” Bossert claims the government has lost the trust of the American people for several reasons. These include the propagation of a dishonest Covid narrative, the Federal Reserve saying they have the tools to address inflation when it does not, and dishonesty from other federal agencies.
Bossert also responds to progressives who take issue with large corporations, while implementing policies that expand government intervention and spending. To this, he says, “Government is the ultimate mega-corporation.”
Furthermore, he says the government has stolen purchasing power through the theft and debasement of currency. And he alleges the burden of regulation and compliance disincentivizes people from starting companies. He says that business owners, risk-takers, and job creators are not being looked after.
