Socalite Jacqueline Kent Cooke, daughter of former Washington Redskins owner Jack Kent Cooke, allegedly made an anti-Semitic remark to a lawyer at a New Year’s Eve outing before hitting him in the head with a glass purse.
According to the New York Daily News, Matthew Haberkorn, was the 52-year-old lawyer that Cooke became angry with when she had to wait behind his 77-year-old mother at a line for the coat-check at the event.

Cooke then allegedly told him: “Hurry up, Jew.” Haberkorn also was with his four daughters and wife at the Caravaggio restaurant.
When he confronted the woman, her boyfriend allegedly told them: “Happy bat mitzvah, girls,” he told the Daily News. As the two exchanged words with Cooke, she hit him in the head with a glass purse, causing a head wound, he claimed.
“She just [expletive] hit me,” he says in a video obtained by the newspaper.
Cooke then said that he yelled obscenities at her. “You called me a [expletive] Jew,” Haberkorn then says in the clip.
The boyfriend then stated that Haberkorn threw “a woman on the floor,” and he immediately denies the claim in the video.

The Daily Mail later reported that Cooke allegedly hit him with a Lulu Guinness Chloe Mirrored Perspex Box Clutch, worth about $300.
Cooke was later charged with assault on Wednesday, Jan. 3, reports said.
Prosecutors said she is being investigated for hate crimes.
“The people are investigating this case as a possible hate crime,” New York Assistant District Attorney Jorge Deossa said, reported the Daily News on Thursday. “She hit him with her purse made of glass,” Deossa said.
Cooke, meanwhile, filed a cross-complaint against the lawyer after she was arrested, reported the Daily News.
Her public defender, Rebecca Phipps, said Cooke’s finger was broken in a scuffle that led to her arrest. “To begin with, my client never made the comment, never made the slur she was accused of making,” Phipps also said.
“After (Haberkorn) and his wife heard what she thought she heard, they started screaming and yelling at my client,” Phipps added. “He was the one who made the first physical contact.”

In 2008, Cooke reportedly attacked police in Boston during a DUI arrest.
She asked them whether they knew who her father is, Deadspin reported.
