No Progress in Security Talks on Ukraine

The United States and NATO rejected key Russian security demands for easing tensions over Ukraine but left open the possibility of future talks with Moscow. The talks, which moved to Vienna Thursday, are centered around an array of security demands that Moscow has made on the West, while building up forces near Ukraine. Meanwhile, Poland’s foreign minister said that Europe was closer to war than any time in the last 30 years.
