In the newly released documentary No Safe Spaces, comedian Adam Carolla and radio talk show host Dennis Prager traveled across the country to interview those who experienced cancellations and protests when trying to raise their ideas on college campuses.

That includes the famous Bret Weinstein, the biology professor who was forced to quit for opposing a race-based campus event.

The film explored the concerns that the overly vehement ways to express disagreement are suppressing free speech.

In recent years, U.S. campuses have seen a string of protests against speakers, sometimes turning violent.

It’s not just on campuses. According to a Pew research report this year, more than eight-in-ten U.S. adults (85 percent) say that political debate in the country has become more negative and less respectful.
