North Korea test-fired a ballistic missile early on Saturday (April 29).
The missile was launched from a region north of its capital, Pyongyang, Yonhap news agency reported citing South Korea’s military.
The missile exploded soon after launch, U.S. officials told NBC News.
This is the North’s fifth missile test launch this year.
The latest test comes a day after President Donald Trump said a “major, major conflict” with North Korea was possible if Kim Jong Un doesn’t halt development of nuclear and missile programs.
