America’s emergency oil stockpile has plunged to 40-year lows. The strategic petroleum reserve is down by about 270 million barrels over the past two years, which is the lowest level since August 1983.

In just a few days, nearly 44 million Americans are going to have to start repaying their student loan debt. Starting in October, the first payments are due for most borrowers following more than three years of forbearance. A significant number of student loan borrowers say they’re dealing with “payment shock.”
