A judge paused former President Donald Trump’s federal elections case Wednesday, while appeals over presidential immunity play out. This could delay the trial date set for March 2024.

The Supreme Court decided to take up an appeal from a Jan. 6 defendant facing an obstruction charge. The high court will also consider whether to allow a popular abortion pill nationwide.

The House voted to formalize the impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden, to back up their authority in the investigation of his involvement in his family’s business dealings.

House Republicans plan to launch contempt of Congress proceedings against Hunter Biden, after he defied his subpoena for a closed-door testimony. Instead, the younger Biden appeared in front of Congress and said his father is not financially involved in his business.
