On Friday, former President Donald Trump posted a nearly $92 million bond in a New York court. The bond will prevent magazine columnist E. Jean Carroll from receiving the penalty during President Trump’s appeal. His attorney expressed confidence, saying the current verdict will be overturned.

Trump-endorsed candidate Michael Whatley has been elected as the new chairman of the Republican National Committee. The committee also elected President Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, as co-chair.
