The Hamas terrorist group on Nov. 24 released the first batch of hostages including 13 Israelis, 10 Thai nationals, and a Filipino. In exchange, Israel released the first 39 Palestinians from its jails. President Joe Biden said no Americans were freed.

The Biden administration is seeking to extradite a former security boss for the Sinaloa cartel to the United States. Néstor Isidro Pérez Salas, also known as “El Nini,” was arrested by Mexican security forces on Wednesday.

And violent riots swept the streets of Dublin, Ireland, after an attacker stabbed five people, including three young children, near an elementary school. Hundreds clashed with law enforcement and looted stores, making this Ireland’s worst unrest in decades.

Retailers around the world are hoping millions of shoppers will take advantage of Black Friday discounts. With many consumers squeezed by persistent inflation and higher interest rates, holiday spending in the U.S. is expected to rise at the slowest pace in five years.
