Israel says it will continue with the siege of Gaza until Hamas releases the hostages they took. The White House has confirmed that the number of Americans killed has risen to 27 and that 14 are still missing, with a handful of them believed to have been taken by Hamas. Secretary of State Antony Blinken visited Tel Aviv on Oct. 12 and pledged U.S. support for the country. And disturbing reports of babies being burnt and decapitated by Hamas terrorists have been confirmed by various sources, including the Jerusalem Post and The Epoch Times.

There has been no major progress after House Republicans met to discuss the election for House speaker. Some of them tell NTD there are anywhere from 15 to 20 Republicans not backing House Majority Leader Steve Scalise.

Embattled Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) was charged with acting as a foreign agent for Egypt. Federal prosecutors filed a superseding indictment against him.

Striking actors and Hollywood studios have suspended negotiations. The actors say that studios refuse to raise wages and protect performers from being replaced by artificial intelligence.
