Zhou You, an NTD contributor, is urging Beijing to release his father, after he was sentenced to 8 years behind bars, for practicing a spiritual meditation called Falun Gong.
Zhou hosts a military program for NTD’s Chinese language channel. His father was detained two years ago for his spiritual beliefs. At the time, police broke into his home without a search warrant.
The man is now being held in a detention center, and his lawyer says his health is declining.
