The Biden administration is launching a $5 billion initiative to speed up the development of new vaccines and treatments for COVID-19, even as it officially declares an end to the emergency.

A truck carrying 40,000 pounds of contaminated soil from the East Palestine, Ohio train derailment clean-up site crashed in Columbiana County on Monday, spilling its contents onto the road.

A Pentagon spokesman says the leak of “top-secret” documents poses a very serious national security risk. And National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said he doesn’t know if the leak has been contained.
