The Congressional-Executive Commission on China heard testimony Wednesday on the “systematic, widespread, and nonconsensual removal of human organs for transplantation, or ‘organ harvesting,'” in China.
Titled “Stopping the Crime of Organ Harvesting—What More Must Be Done?,” the hearing examined the evidence on China’s organ harvesting industry provided by previously detained Falun Gong practitioners, Uyghurs, and political prisoners. The lawmakers also assessed the Chinese communist regime’s denials of transplant abuse, and its claim that it no longer sources organs from prisoners.
