A group that won a landmark Supreme Court decision outlawing race-based admissions at Harvard is now targeting America’s service academies. Students for Fair Admissions wants the June 29 ruling to apply to potential cadets as well. However, West Point and the U.S. Naval Academy have said the law should not include military institutions.
A plane that was grounded in France due to allegations of the human trafficking of some of its passengers has now flown back to India. It landed in Mumbai on Dec. 26 with 276 Indian passengers still on board.
A number of pro-Palestinian demonstrators were arrested in New York on Dec. 25 after clashing with police. A spokesperson for the New York Police Department said “several individuals” were taken into custody, and that one officer sustained minor injuries in the disturbance.
