National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan briefed reporters this afternoon on the ongoing conflict between Hamas and Israel. He told reporters that Hamas has killed more than 1,000 people, with at least 14 Americans among the dead. Hamas has also taken a number of American hostages. Mr. Sullivan said the United States will send more munitions for Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system.
A man crashed his car into the Chinese Consulate in San Francisco on Monday. He was subsequently shot and killed by police. More details of his identity and of the incident were not immediately available.
