House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s post has been removed as House speaker by a vote of the House of Representatives. Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) pushed a motion to vacate the speaker’s seat, thereby ousting Mr. McCarthy.
Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-Texas) was carjacked in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 2. The Texas Democrat was victimized when he was parking his car. He was not harmed and is working with local law enforcement to track down the suspects.
