Railways and London Underground will be crippled from Tuesday due to strikes—in the biggest walkout in the industry for more than 30 years. Union leaders have accused the government of “inflaming” tensions, while the government has called the strikes premature.
On Sunday, French President Emmanuel Macron and his allies lost their absolute majority in the National Assembly.
Media outlets are saying France may become impossible to govern for Macron, who may be forced to abandon some of his plans in the coming months.
