Videos of released Israeli hostages reuniting with their families were published on Oct. 13 by the Israeli army and families, showing emotional moments filled with tears and uncontained happiness.

Israelis Guy Gilboa Dalal, Yosef-Chaim Ohana, Eitan-Abraham Mor, and Matan Angrest were among 20 living hostages released from Hamas captivity after over two years in Gaza, under a U.S.-brokered deal to end the war in the coastal territory.

Twenty-eight other hostages, of which 26 are believed to be dead and the fate of two others is yet unknown, were to be released at a later time.

In exchange, Israel was to release 1,950 Palestinian convicted prisoners and detainees from its jails.
