Apple has removed the ICEBlock application from its App Store. ICEBlock is an app that allows users to report and track the locations of federal immigration officers. Apple says it acted after receiving law enforcement warnings that the tool could put agents at risk.

Attorney General Pam Bondi says the Justice Department pushed for the removal, calling the app a danger to law enforcement. The move comes after a deadly shooting outside an ICE facility in Dallas, where officials say the suspect searched for tracking apps, including ICEBlock. ICE officials have long argued the platform endangered their officers.

The app’s creator called Apple’s decision disappointing, saying it was a capitulation to political pressure.
