Kanye West has had his Australian visa cancelled. An official pointed to the release of West's new song, which they said promoted Nazism and anti-Semitism.

Australia's Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke announced the decision on Wednesday.

The American rapper released the song across social media and music streaming platforms in May. The track came a few months after West made a string of anti-Semitic posts on social media platform X.

Burke said West travels to Australia regularly. His wife, Bianca Censori, was born in Australia, and her family lives in Melbourne.

"We have enough problems in this country already without deliberately importing bigotry," Burke said.
