Pfizer and Moderna have created vaccine candidates that are each around 95 percent effective, the pharmaceutical companies announced this week.

"The beginning of the end of the pandemic started with the leadership of President Trump," said White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany on Friday. "In recent days, Pfizer and Moderna reported the highly successful results of their vaccine develop."

In July, the Trump administration provided Pfizer with almost $2 billion dollars to develop and distribute a COVID-19 vaccine, which will be free to any American who wants it. COVID-19 is the disease the <a href="https://www.theepochtimes.com/giving-the-right-name-to-the-virus-causing-a-worldwide-pandemic-2_3277200.html">CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus</a> causes.

In mid-October, the administration made a deal with CVS and Walgreens to get vaccines to nursing home residents. And it authorized qualified pharmacy technicians to administer the inoculation under the PREP Act.

On Nov. 12, the administration partnered with large and regional chain pharmacies to deliver the doses.

According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), deaths from the CCP virus have been declining steadily since March. In October, around eight deaths per 100 cases were recorded for people over 70 years old. In the same month, people under 70 years of age had a death rate of 1 person—or less—per 100 cases. Data for November is incomplete.
