About 6,400 illegal immigrants were released into the U.S. with no registration number and no court date under President Biden’s new policy called “parole with conditions," right before a federal judge’s block on the policy took effect.

Rodney Scott, retired Chief of U.S. Border Patrol, told NTD that illegal immigrants are released into the country with a notice to appear in court several years down the road while they roam about freely in the United States. Scott claims the current policy and Biden’s parole policy are both effectively a catch-and-release policy.

The Department of Homeland Security said the parole program allows illegal immigrants to be released for “urgent humanitarian reasons or significant public benefit.”
