The United States is ramping up operations in Iran. The Pentagon says the most intense bombing is still yet to come.

U.S. officials say more than 1,700 Iranian military targets were struck in just the first 72 hours of Operation Epic Fury, hitting missile launchers, drone sites, and key air defenses. Pentagon officials say those strikes are already having an impact—with Iranian missile and drone launches now dropping sharply as launch infrastructure is destroyed.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth says the United States will be in command of Iranian airspace within a week, giving the United States operational control over the skies of Iran.

In Washington, the White House is defending the operation, while Congress fails to limit the president’s war powers.
