In Belgium, an anesthesiologist was fired after questioning government virus measures. In France, some doctors are facing similar pressure and have denounced the suppression of speech.

Belgium anesthesiologist Pascal Sacré was fired on Oct. 27 by the hospital he worked at after he posted on social media about the pandemic.

In short videos, he says there’s no such thing as a “second wave of the virus,” that tests are inaccurate, and that the lockdown should be questioned.

While in France, Doctor Louis Fouche says doctors are facing an unprecedented situation.

In his Marseille public hospital, Fouche says the administration threatened to fire him after he spoke to the media and questioned what he calls "government narratives.”

5,000 people messaged the hospital administration in support.
