On Capitol Hill, three new bipartisan bills are introduced, aiming to hold the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) accountable for fueling the fentanyl crisis in the United States.

China is expanding its infiltration and transnational repression in the United States. Why is the CCP doing that? China expert and author Gordon Chang breaks it down: "The CCP believes it is in an existential struggle with the United States, and it believes it's in an existential struggle not because of anything that we say or do, but because of who we are."

China is experiencing a sluggish economy. Retail giant Alibaba is selling its department store business there, and taking a billion-dollar loss in the process.
