China has reinforced its relationship with Russia just as the United States and NATO consider new rounds of sanctions on Moscow.

On Tuesday, Chinese regime leader Xi Jinping met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Beijing, where Xi called for stronger "mutual support" between the two countries.

The meeting came just one day after U.S. President Donald Trump urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to accept a ceasefire deal to end the war in Ukraine. Trump warned that if no peace deal is reached within 50 days, the United States will impose 100 percent tariffs on any country doing business with Russia.
