'Compulsory unionization is an antique,' says Mark Mix, president of the National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation.

Mr. Mix says that's because the differences between union officials and rank-and-file workers are growing wider, particularly when it comes to political positions, like border security, smaller government, lower taxes, and less regulation.
