While few details have been made public, the lineup of witnesses suggests the discussion will center on legal justifications for the operations. Scheduled to appear are Secretary of State Marco Rubio, War Secretary Pete Hegseth, and Gen. Dan Caine, the highest-ranking officer in the U.S. armed forces, accompanied by his legal counsel.

The briefing comes amid mounting pressure from Democrats, who are demanding the release of raw video footage from a controversial strike on a drug-smuggling boat that reportedly killed survivors after an initial attack capsized the vessel.
