The 24th Rhode Island Chinese Dragon Boat and Taiwan Day Festival brought big crowds and nonstop fun to the Pawtucket River on Aug. 30.

Families came for the great entertainment, the exciting competitions, and the great opportunity to learn more about the Chinese and Taiwanese cultures.

In addition to dragon boat races on the Pawtucket River, visitors also enjoyed performances by the Taiwan Acrobatic Troupe, one of the most prestigious performing groups in Taiwan. This is the second year that the group has traveled from Taiwan to Rhode Island to perform.
