A massive Ukrainian drone attack targeted the Moscow region overnight <span class="production-element" data-production-element-type="instruction">(May 16 to May 17)</span>. Russian officials say at least four people were killed and several buildings were damaged, including a high-rise building.

Authorities are calling it the largest drone attack on the Russian capital region in more than a year. More than a thousand Ukrainian drones were shot down or disrupted across Russia.

The attacks came despite Russia's dense air defenses, reaching several hundred miles into <span class="nanospell-typo" data-cke-bogus="true">Russia</span> from its border, officials say.
