Von der Leyen said at the G-7 summit on June 16 that Beijing is not willing to live within the constraints of the rules-based international system.

She said the current global trading system isn’t working as it should and lacks clear rules.

She also said that the biggest shared problem began when China joined the World Trade Organization in 2001.
