The FBI has foiled a "massive and horrific terror plot" targeting multiple businesses in southern California.

The four suspects behind the planned attack were arrested on Friday as they were testing explosive devices in the desert, authorities said during a news conference.

The suspects, all from Los Angeles, were allegedly associated with a radical extremist group.

“"The Turtle Island Liberation Front—a far-left, pro-Palestine, anti-government, and anti-capitalist group—was preparing to conduct a series of bombings against multiple targets in California beginning on New Year’s Eve," <a href="https://x.com/AGPamBondi/status/2000583375698919657">Attorney General Pam Bondi wrote on X</a> on Monday. "The group also planned to target ICE agents and vehicles. This was an incredible effort by our U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and the @FBI to ensure Americans can live in peace.”

The suspects have been identified as Audrey Illeene Carroll, 30; Zachary Aaron Page, 32; Dante Gaffield, 24; and Tina Lai, 41.

It’s unclear if they have retained legal representation.

Authorities found posters for the Turtle Island Liberation Front at Carroll’s home that called for “Death to America” and “Death to ICE.”

Law enforcement also discovered a copy of the detailed bomb plan in Page’s residence. The plan was to target “Amazon-type” logistical centers, although authorities declined to name the specific businesses.

The plan included planting backpacks filled with explosive devices at multiple businesses that were set to blow up simultaneously at midnight on New Year’s Eve.

Authorities shared surveillance aerial footage of the four individuals in the desert moving a large black object to a table shortly before they were arrested.

They brought bomb-making materials to the campsite, including various sizes of PVC pipes, suspected potassium nitrate, charcoal, charcoal powder and sulfur powder.

“They had everything they needed to make an operational bomb” at the location in Twentynine Palms, California.

Two of the group’s members had also discussed future plans to target ICE agents and their vehicles with pipe bombs in 2026.

Each suspect faces charges including conspiracy and possession of a destructive device. Additional charges are expected in the coming weeks as investigators continue to review the evidence in the case.

They are expected to make their first court appearance on Monday afternoon.

“We will continue to pursue these terror groups and bring them to justice,” Bondi said.

In the days since, a fifth person who was planning another attack was arrested in New Orleans, <a href="https://x.com/FBIDirectorKash">according to FBI Director Kash Patel.</a>
