The FBI on Thursday released "new identifying details" of the suspect believed to have abducted 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie and raised the reward for information regarding the case to $100,000.

According to the bureau, forensic specialists in its Operational Technology Division examined doorbell camera footage from Guthrie’s home and confirmed the suspect is a man roughly 5 feet 9 to 5 feet 10 with an average build. He was seen wearing a black 25-liter Ozark Trail Hiker Pack backpack at the door where her blood was previously found.

The FBI has collected more than 13,000 tips from the public related to the case since Feb. 1 and is again urging anyone with information to contact 1-800-CALL-FBI or submit details online.

The reward increase comes as federal agents and local deputies continue an intensive search in and around Tucson, where Nancy Guthrie—mother of “Today” co-host Savannah Guthrie—was taken against her will on Feb. 1. Guthrie requires daily medication, authorities have said, heightening concerns as the case nears the two-week mark.

Investigators have been canvassing neighborhoods and urging residents to review security footage from specific dates before and after Guthrie disappeared. One neighbor, Ann Adams, said authorities asked her household for video from Jan. 31 and the morning of Feb. 1 and checked her property while asking if she had noticed anything unusual.

“They did ask specifically for the 31st of January and the morning of the first of February and then they wanted to know if we saw anything suspicious on cameras since then,” Adams said. She said that agents asked “general questions.”

The search area has widened around both Guthrie’s own home and the nearby residence of her daughter Annie, which Guthrie had visited shortly before she went missing. On Thursday, investigators briefly set up a white tent at Guthrie’s front entryway—the same location where her blood was found early in the investigation and where the doorbell camera previously captured the masked figure on the night she disappeared.

Agents in desert gear have also been combing the rocky terrain near the property, looking through brush and around boulders for any sign of evidence. Several hundred agents and detectives are now assigned to the case as the search zone continues to expand, according to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.

Authorities have recovered a pair of black gloves that were sent for DNA analysis. Investigators this week also requested additional home surveillance video from Jan. 11 between 9 p.m. and midnight, and Tucson-area residents with Ring cameras said they received alerts asking them to review that footage.

The stepped-up push for video followed the delayed recovery of Guthrie’s doorbell footage, which showed a masked person in thick gloves and a full backpack at her door, appearing armed and attempting to block the camera with nearby plants. Access to that recording was initially held up by problems with the device’s disconnection and service subscription.

In its Feb. 12 post, the FBI said each tip it receives is reviewed “for credibility, relevance, and information that can be acted upon by law enforcement.” Threat Intake Examiners at the National Threat Operations Center and other FBI personnel are staffing a 24-hour command post, where dozens of agents and investigators are assigned leads every shift.

The FBI said it does not comment on specific tips in active investigations and asked media outlets to forward any information they receive.
