Mr. Malcolm asserts it was the flawed and overly broad argument that President Trump should be immune from prosecution for any acts committed as president unless impeached and convicted by the U.S. Senate—including, even, hypothetically plotting to assassinate a political rival using SEAL Team 6—that scuttled his defense.
