President Donald Trump signed an executive order last week to reclassify marijuana from a Schedule I substance, akin to heroin, to a Schedule III substance to pave the way for more medical research, such as for cancer patients with pain and nausea.

Trump said that there will be no move toward federal legalization for recreational use, and was very clear to warn about the dangers of both drugs and alcohol. The president stated that he has never used either, and has always been stern with his own children on this point.

Meanwhile, many states have moved forward with the legalization of marijuana, and use among young adults has increased significantly. But what about the harms and dangers of marijuana for children?

NTD discussed the issue with Lynn Shaw, founder and executive director at Lynn's Warriors.
