French police fatally shot an armed man in Rouen, France, who was suspected of setting a fire that severely damaged a local synagogue. Authorities have classified the attack as clearly anti-Semitic, reflecting a troubling rise in such incidents, which have increased by 300 percent compared to the previous year. The synagogue fire, allegedly caused by a Molotov cocktail, resulted in significant damage. A police spokesperson told NTD this incident underscores the growing concern over anti-Semitic acts in France. The French minister of interior says there an "explosion of hatred" in France against the Jews.
