Mr. Malcolm says while he doesn’t know them personally, an assessment of their likely leanings may involve the fact that the three judges, Todd Markle, Trenton Brown, and Benjamin Land are Republican appointees, whereas Fulton County DA Fani Willis who presides over the case was elected in an area that leans heavily Democratic. Something to note is that Republican Gov. Brian Kemp appointed Ms. Willis to fill a vacant seat before his election.
