To find out more, NTD spoke to retired Lt. Col. Sargis Sangari, a military strategist and the CEO of the Near East Center for Strategic Engagement. So where is the war leading Israel against an enemy that has "nothing to lose?"

Mr. Sangari believes that Israel may be experiencing its "Vietnam moment"—winning every military battle, but slowly ceding ground politically and losing the appetite for war on the home front.
