According to the Israeli government, its efforts to protect civilian life in Gaza are unprecedented, with IDF troops going door to door as they carry out pin-point operations to seek out and eliminate Hamas terrorists, warning civilians to get out of the line of fire as they go.

However, there have been reports of a rift this week between leaders of the United States and Israel regarding the fate of Gaza after the war.

NTD spoke to Israeli government spokesman Avi Hyman, who downplayed any disagreements, but thanked the U.S. administration and the people of the United States for their support.

"Our fight is with Hamas, not the people of Gaza," he said. "We seek to free Gaza from Hamas." He said it was imperative for Israel to completely remove Hamas from Gaza, because "Hamas has made it very clear that they want to do another Oct. 7—again and again and again."
