Symptoms related to PTSD may include nightmares, difficulty sleeping, depression, high anxiety levels, or sometimes self-destructive behavior. A variety of treatments can help manage symptoms. But many people, especially non-military, do not seek treatment.

To break down the signs, symptoms, and effects PTSD has in real life, NTD spoke with active duty Special Forces soldier Major Evan Perperis, who also suffers from PTSD.
